On 3, 4 and 5 February, three days of worship, of intense faith and animated folklore, preceded by a month of great preparations, during which Catania gets closer to its Saint. This is the celebration of Saint Agatha, the third religious festival in the world for participation of the faithful, after the Holy Week in Seville, Spain, and the feast of Corpus Christi in Cuzco in Peru.
Over those three days, the city forgets everything to concentrate on the celebration that attracts each year – between devotees and visitors – up to one million people.
